Hype (as they called themselves then) was originally formed in the late 1980s when keyboardist Ceri James moved to Castell Alun High School.
Joining up with guitarist Simon Rogers, vocals/guitars/organizer Will Sudworth and lyricist/band manager/lighting Mike Pitts they had a remarkably wide range in music from Dire Straits, EMF and INXS to Pearl Jam, Poison and Metallica as well as writing their own music.

Thirty plus years on and now in
Altrincham | Chester | Yr Wyddgrug (Mold) | Stockport
They’ve reformed to record for the sake of art, posterity, and general lockdown therapy
